10 Questions with Iyo Kamimura

Born in 1985, Iyo Kamimura is a graduate of Maebashi Kyoai University. She started her creative activities when she started Instagram. She woke up to painting in a painting class and arrived at a stamp on LINE.
She is encouraged by her popularity with foreigners. Her exhibition in Paris of Modern Art Energy was not a disability frame but a screening and general participation. She was also evaluated by the French people.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Iyo Kamimura is a visual artist and works predominantly with drawing. Her preferred medium is drawing draw pictures with colored pencils.

INTERVIEW

How did you start experimenting with images?

I've loved drawing manga since I first encountered art. I decided to draw them because it is convenient, and I can post images on Instagram. It's a good time. At first, it started from there. I'm glad that the influence from the world is great while posting.
I also received an offer, and I was surprised, but I think there is a possibility that it will spread further in the future. We also participate in business card recruitment and exhibitions.

Please tell us about the process of creating your work. What is your artistic routine when working?

It is usually a day when I'm not tired. It's a refreshing and very comfortable day, and when I think I can't draw today, I get inspiration.

How do you plan your artwork and choose what to draw?

I don't have a plan, but I immediately remembered when I was feeling well today. I sleep when I'm sleepy. I always try to draw in a quiet room. It's a day when birds are singing, or it's okay to wake up late at night. Most of them are original, and I often draw them obediently.

What is your main source of inspiration?

There is nothing in particular. It's all an idea. A trip that I have never had and might be very nice, or scenery at a certain time and the what I see. These subjects are often suddenly born from my mind. I often get a massage and feel good on the day I visit the head spa. You will stay healthy. I will not overdo it.

How do you feel that your work is unique and truly your own?

Thank you very much. It's my own view of the world. But I don't forget that the viewer thinks subjectively. Some may be wacky. I also draw Japanese pictures every now and then. It would be a great honor to be able to send it to the world.

How about the colors you use?

There are many pale colors. It may be thin. The impression may be less impactful, but the point is how to convey it. I often stick to colored pencils. Colored pencils are gentle and come out with my favorite pale color. I also occasionally draw oil paintings and ink paintings. I choose from fantasy, fantasy, and cute.

Do they have a special meaning to you?

I think it has a special meaning. And I think that the more people you know, the more you can make an impact.

Do you think the transition to digital exhibitions and art fairs has helped promote your work?

I think it will be useful. In the future, I would like to get to know more people, participate in various projects as well as exhibitions, participate in goods, and be involved in the adoption of some products.
